Interesting article on Ticketmaster
(via Ticketmaster: Rocking The Most Hated Brand In America | Fast Company)

While I’m glad that finally something of substance has been written about Ticketmaster, its disheartening to hear a CEO that doesn’t understand the fundamental problem with his business, which is that the system completely breaks down whenever demand for tickets outstrips supply (like, say, an LCD Soundsystem farewell show, for example). People by and large aren’t mad at Ticketmaster because of some dumb fee, they’re mad because it fails on the most basic of criteria: fairly distributing tickets to fans. Maybe after this dude is done “rebelling against the system” (read: making a Facebook app) he’ll actually realize this Zoom
